Maintenance work on tram trains requires very specific, fast facilities to avoid user service disruption.
- This means that several teams work at the same time, under, on the side and above the train. This calls for an enclosure to be created housing the tram for its maintenance.
- The main difficulty in the specifications Tubesca-Comabi had to respond to was the docking accuracy between the Modul’access structure and the front of the train to avoid any risk of falling of operators working on vertical glass surfaces.
A wheeled module guided by rails, grasping the drive unit and part of the sides of the train.
- The aim was to be able to move the structure to where the tram stopped.
- This structure is topped by a non-slip deck on which the maintenance technicians move around. The inner edges of the decking are covered with rubber protection to prevent damage to the tram walls or windows in the event of sudden movements.
